The Music Does Not Match the Game

What to check if the song being played differs from the song on the host screen.

Updated 16 October 2026

Understand the two parts of hosting

Boogie Bingo Live tracks songs for your game and verifies winning claims. The music itself is played through your chosen music service.

Playing a track in Spotify or another service does not automatically mean the same song has been recorded in your Boogie Bingo Live game.

Check the song before continuing

  1. Pause before recording another song in the host controls.
  2. Compare the song title and artist in Boogie Bingo Live with the track actually playing.
  3. If you are using a playlist, confirm it is the playlist for the pack and game you selected.
  4. Select and record the correct song in the host controls, following the game's normal song-selection process.

Why this matters for winners

Winning claims are checked against the songs recorded as played in the game. A mismatch can cause confusion or a rejected claim.

If a wrong song was recorded, stop and review the host controls before proceeding rather than asking players to mark a song that was not played.

Helpful tip: The host's recorded song history, not the music player's playback history, is used to verify claims.
