How to Select and Track Songs During a Game

Understand the Host Screen song controls and how Boogie Bingo Live tracks the music played during your event.

How song tracking works

Boogie Bingo Live tracks the songs you record on the Host Screen.

It does not automatically detect what your music service is playing. The host is responsible for keeping the game in step with the actual music.

Using Select Random Song

Select Random Song is available on the Host Screen when you want the game to choose a song from your pack.

You can then play the corresponding song using your music service.

Helpful tip: Make sure the selected song is actually played to your audience before moving on.

Selecting from the song list

The Host Screen displays the songs included in your game.

You can use the song list to record the appropriate track as your event progresses.

Searching for a song

  1. Find the Search control on the Host Screen.
  2. Enter part of a song title.
  3. Find the matching track in the results.
  4. Select the appropriate song to record it in the game.
Helpful tip: Searching by part of the title can be useful when you're following a playlist in a different order.

Checking progress

The Songs Played count and pack progress indicator update as you record songs.

The Host Screen also displays the current song and the game's overall song count.

What about Undo, Clear and Reset?

The Host Screen includes controls labelled Undo Last Song, Clear Current Song and Reset Game.

Clear Current Song clears the currently selected song; Undo Last Song removes the most recently recorded played song; Reset Game clears played-song progress, the current song and claims after confirmation.

Helpful tip: If you're unfamiliar with a control, try it in a practice game rather than experimenting during a live event.

Why accurate tracking matters

Players mark their own tickets, but Boogie Bingo Live checks winning claims against songs the host has recorded as played.

Keeping the Host Screen accurate is therefore essential for fair and reliable bingo claims.
