Venue Display Troubleshooting
Practical checks for loading errors, missing updates and display connection problems.
Updated 16 October 2026
The display says Game not found
- Check that you opened Venue Display for the correct game and Game Code.
- Return to the Host Game screen and use Open Venue Display again.
- Check that your game still exists and that the display device is online.
The display cannot load live updates
A connection or permission problem may cause the screen to show Unable to load live game updates or Unable to load winner announcements.
- Check the internet connection on the display device.
- Refresh the Venue Display page.
- If necessary, reopen the display from the Host Game screen.
- Check whether the Host Game screen is still receiving and recording updates.
The song or winner has not appeared
Venue Display follows the host's recorded game state. Playing a song in Spotify or another music service does not automatically record that song in Boogie Bingo Live.
- Check that the host has selected and recorded the correct song in the Host Game screen.
- For winners, check that the claim has been accepted as valid by the game.
- Check that both screens are connected to the internet, then refresh the display if needed.
The TV or projector shows the wrong window
- Check the correct HDMI input, casting destination or display connection.
- Move the Venue Display browser window onto the audience screen.
- If available, use extended-display mode so your private Host Game screen remains on your laptop.
- Test readability and full-screen mode before restarting the event.
A winner announcement disappears
This is expected: the large announcement is temporary and closes after approximately eight seconds. Accepted claims remain available in the Winners section of the display.
